A Sick Care Model for Promoting Health is Doomed to Fail
(Excerpted from my article published on Natural Path)
Are you happy with your current healthcare?
If you have ever had the misfortune of needing to go the ER (Emergency Room) or Urgent Care, you were probably incredibly grateful for the ability to access modern medicine’s life-saving modalities, diagnostics, and technologies in your time of peril.
The problem is that most of the same conventional techniques and tools that are effective for suppressing symptoms in a time of crisis are also commonly used for chronic care. The results of this have been dismissal. The difference between managing disease vs. promoting health is not just a contemplative wordplay, it is real.
The United States Healthcare System is the most expensive compared to much of the developed world. Furthermore, it has the least impressive results. Our nation has the lowest life expectancy and the highest rates of chronic diseases. 1-4 This means we are paying a lot and receiving very little.
Many feel stuck paying the high price of disease management and are not fully aware of the value of the ability to truly regain and maintain vitality.
I think it’s high time that our healthcare system and global population embrace the profession that is trained in keeping people well, don’t you?
My latest post, published on Natural Path, explores how the high cost and poor results of sick care are impacting our health for the worse.
In my article you will learn:
- Why sick care is failing us
- The high price of inefficient healthcare
- The insanity of symptom suppression without addressing the root cause
- How naturopathic and functional medicine optimize health and wholeness
- How naturopathic doctors are poised to lead the way to truly holistic and innovative medicine
- What is missing in conventional and many integrative medical practices
I feel naturopathic medicine should be embraced into our current medical model, not only at the level of transaction, but to transform the mindset of what health really is.

According to experts and the World Health Organization (WHO), there is no approved standard of care treatment, cure, or preventative for COVID-19. Supportive measures, vaccination, and containment are in full force as a result. Please see the CDC website and your state’s website for more information and updates. They also state when to contact your physician related to symptoms and travel history, exposures. Please read my more detailed article on this subject here.
This information is applicable ONLY for therapeutic quality essential oils. This information DOES NOT apply to essential oils that have not been tested for purity and standardized constituents. There is no quality control in the United States, and oils labeled as “100% pure” need only to contain 5% of the actual oil. The rest of the bottle can be filled with fillers and sometimes toxic ingredients that can irritate the skin. The studies are not based solely on a specific brand of an essential oil, unless stated.
